On October 12th, 2024, Kirirom Institute of Technology (KIT) celebrated a significant milestone—our 10th anniversary. We were honored to be joined by our alumni, students, dedicated board members, stakeholders and several distinguished guests who contributed to the success of this special event. The day was filled with activities designed to bring together our growing community. Starting with team-building exercises in the morning, alumni and current students enjoyed an engaging football match, showcasing the camaraderie that has been nurtured over the years. This was followed by a lunch break, which provided an opportunity for everyone to reconnect and share memories.
Afterward, we began with a warm introduction to KIT by Dr. Kamaga, highlighting how far we've come in our mission to foster innovation and excellence in education. The Innovation Showcase was a particular highlight, where our students pitched their projects, demonstrating their creativity and technical expertise. It was truly inspiring to see their work and witness the professional feedback provided by our alumni.
The Alumni Panel Discussion reinforced the importance of staying connected, as we discussed the benefits of establishing a strong alumni network that continues to support and mentor the next generation of leaders. This dialogue emphasized the critical role our graduates play in shaping both the future of the institution and their own industries.
In the evening, we welcomed all our guests to a Gala Dinner, where we reflected on KIT's journey. Speeches from key stakeholders and a keynote address by a distinguished speaker reminded us of the importance of education, innovation, and our role in shaping the future of Cambodia and beyond. The recognition and award sessions also gave us a chance to honor the exceptional achievements of our alumni, faculty, and students.
As we look back over the last decade, we are immensely proud of our progress. KIT has grown into a beacon of knowledge, opportunity, and innovation. This celebration is not just a look back but a promise for the future. We are committed to providing top-quality education, empowering our students, and staying at the forefront of industry needs.
