KIT Celebrates 10th Anniversary with 150 Scholarships

Phnom Penh — September 26, 2024 – Kirirom Institute of Technology (KIT), a leading institution of higher education in Cambodia, is thrilled to announce the launch of its scholarship and sponsorship programs for the upcoming academic year, 2024-2025. To commemorate its 10th anniversary, KIT is offering a generous total of 120 Academic Excellence scholarships and 30 full sponsorships to all Grade 12th students who passed the national exam this year. 

Dr. Masuma Kamaga, President of KIT, said: “We are excited to celebrate our 10th anniversary by offering these generous scholarships and sponsorships to deserving students. Our goal is to provide opportunities for talented individuals to pursue their academic dreams and contribute to the development of Cambodia.”

Scholarship Opportunities

KIT is offering Academic Excellence Scholarships to academically outstanding students. Students who achieve national grades A, B, C, and D are eligible for tuition fee promotions ranging from 20% to 100% in their first academic year at KIT. The scholarships cover tuition fees and are available to students who meet the following criteria:

• Grade A: 100% Scholarship (30 seats)

• Grade B: 70% Scholarship (30 seats)

• Grade C: 50% Scholarship (30 seats)

• Grade D: 20% Scholarship (30 seats)

Additionally, KIT is providing Academic Merit Scholarships to high-achieving Cambodian students from their second year onwards. These scholarships are awarded based on exceptional academic performance in the previous year and cover a portion of the tuition fees up to 100%. 

Full Sponsorships

KIT's sponsorship program underscores our commitment to making education accessible to all, regardless of financial constraints. This program provides deserving students with financial aid to support their pursuit of higher education at KIT. The sponsorship program is available for 30 seats for academically outstanding students who:

• Come from underprivileged communities, including members of the LGBT community, disabled students, minorities, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

• Face financial difficulties, including those struggling to afford the costs of higher education.

• Live in remote locations​​ (students from rural or underserved areas) 

Female students are highly encouraged to apply.

The sponsorship program covers tuition, housing, food, and other costs. This sponsorship is our way of recognizing the hard work, resilience, and outstanding academic performance of underprivileged students. By empowering these students, we aim to foster social responsibility and contribute to the broader community.

Application Process and Deadlines

Interested students can apply for scholarships and sponsorships via an online application form with specific deadline as below: 

• Sponsorship Applications deadline expires on November 15, 2024

• Academic Excellence Scholarship deadline expires on December 15, 2024

• General Admissions deadline expires on January 24, 2025.
