Building Regional Connectivity through Common Needs Proposal

KIT was host to the workshop on proposal writing to be submitted to the ASEAN Cooperation Project proposal held at the KIT Auditorium last November 14 and 15, 2023.
The 2-day workshop came to fruition with the collaboration of KIT’s VP for Global Engagement Masamu Kamaga, Ph.D. and Dr. Kuok Fidero Under Secretary of State, Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI). It was attended by government officials, experts and scholars from both the public and private sectors.
The workshop aims to:
To exchange information and share guidelines for the ASEAN cooperation project;
To foster a collaborative environment and co-create innovative solutions for ASEAN's grand challenges;
To prepare the proposals to be submitted to ASEAN External
Intense discussions and drafting proposals related to Digital Transformation in Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Carbon Neutrality, Talent Development and Sustainable Community were the major highlights of the workshop. H.E. Dr. Hul Seingheng, Under Secretary of State, Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation shared his invaluable insights and provided advice for each group’s proposals.
This initiative aims to strengthen KIT’s research capability and become a prime mover in affecting change in the ASEAN region.
